ROLE OF CHAPLAINCY IN ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

The school chapel is the most significant building erected in the compound since the year 2000. However the structure in itself is not as important as the reality of God’s magnetic presence in the school.
A very committed chapel committee provides the following services.

  • Co-ordinating all the spiritual activities in the school.
  • Organising school services and assemblies.
  • Spiritual counseling.

The school management works hand in hand with the chaplaincy to ensure that the three human constituencies are nurtured i.e. spirit, soul and body. (The spirit is the engine with a conscience, the soul harbours intellect, emotions and will, and all are housed in a physical body).
This year our theme is “Wisdom for Living,” taken from Proverbs 4: 7a.

We hope to draw from the Wisdom of God in our pursuit of excellence.

Mrs Beatrice Bett,

Chaplain.

HARMONIZING SCHOOL PROGRAMMES FOR EFFECTIVE ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE

Before a school opens its doors for business of any kind, it must bear in mind, the fact that it must provide opportunities to students for
(i) acquiring academic knowledge and life skills
(ii) developing their character to bring out virtue.
(iii) discovering and building on their talents and
(iv) discovering and establishing a foundation for a successful career.

It is for this reason that a school should have a school policy which must indicate
(i) its mission statement
(ii) its Motto
(iii) its slogan - a call that rallies students together
(iv) its objectives.

Moi Girls has such a policy. Besides, Moi Girls have a strategic plan giving us a clear road map to what we  want to be and how we plan to be so.

Coordinator, Standards & Quality Assurance

POSITIVE SELF IMAGE FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

My role as a Senior Mistress (or Dean of Students) in Moi Girls  is quite challenging . Duties are still evolving slowly. I hope it will be a role that will be useful and a blessing to everybody in the community.
Basically it deals with all areas of Moi Girls outside the class room work.
My message to all students and other members of Moi Girls community, including parents, B.O.G and Kenyans in general is that we are all special, God has put all of us here for a special purpose and we occupy special positions. Let’s come out excellent in everything that we do in Moi Girls and even outside the school.

Mrs Jemimah Choge

Dean of Students
